Well, I had all intentions of posting these photos right after the Owling, for Reals post, but I was shot down by a little bacteria called STREP. It invaded my body like the ancient mongols of Genghis Khan would have done up a hippie commune- and I’m still recovering from the pillage. So, sitting here, I finally feel like typing, and now, I can show you, the mysterious people of the internet (I think this medicine is getting to me – maybe?) the owls.
I don’t know if I mentioned it before, but these are Barred Owls, and these photos were taken in Brevard County, Florida. They aren’t uncommon in general, but they are uncommon to find anywhere remotely photographable. I am by no means a technical photographer. I try, sometimes, but usually there’s a lot of perfection that I missed. It was also rather daunting shooting with a lens I’ve just gotten, and haven’t had time to fine focus with my camera! Ah well, I’m not horribly dissapointed, I’m happy to have had the experience. So, without further ado, here are a few of my favorites.

Very nice! Owls are definitely hard to come by in a good setting. I’ve only ever been able to get one shot.
Beautiful pictures!
